freshman alert
SCAMPSATION...theme for nus sci fac freshman orientation camp 07...it'd been a few days since i'm back from this rather fun-filled 5 days camp...now i'm feeling like a freshman...wahahaz...been a senior in pri/sec/jc...so back to square 1 in becoming a newbie in a whole new environment...probably the last time also...cos now we're known as tertiary students (aka old students lahz...hahaz!) thought i wld be going thru the jc orientation kind of stuff...but it's better than i expected...so bravo! yesh...i made friends...=) (cos i really dread the process of making frens...esp as we grow older...things get tough...)basically...gonna yak abt wat happened throughout these 5 days...dun worry...it wont bore u...i'll keep it short & sweet... :)
Day 1...
dragged my heavy bags to nus sci fac (i took public transport alone ok!)...got registered and managed to make some friends on the spot...then it's the usual ice breakers & got to know more abt my OG mates & OGLs (nice seniors...very impt...) oh ya...am i lucky or wat...priscilla (cchms 2gr reunites!) was in the same OG as me! hahaz...got companion! also met nyjc seniors! then we also had station games...where we got dirty, tired & super soaked...tat's actually when the OG spirit was formed...teamwork mahz...so we spent our night in hall...i also like the videos tat the seniors made for the freshman...very hilarious indeed...not forgetting...there's also Secret Pal interaction...actually something like angel mortal but in this case we were blindfolded...
Day 2...
hmm...woke up early in the morning...we learnt nus sci fac mass dance (very cool! like it!)...sci fac cheers (very enthu indeed...)...we also went for a treasure hunt game around nus...oh man...nus is really huge...get really tired jus walking from one fac to another...but it was fun lahz...hehez...wat i enjoyed the most shld be the appreciation night...we got to view horror films in the LT...in preparation for fright nite...hahaz...further details shall not be disclosed...wahahahz...(ask me for details bahz...) boo...
Day 3...
it's amazing race singapore style...OGs will complete tasks & find our way around s'pore...final stop was at sentosa...it's expected cos we're supposed to spend a night there at the chalet...when there's free time...my OG wld sit together and play grp games...later...the senior guys became victims of the pool...one by one being thrown into the pool...so pitiful yet so funny...however...in the end...all of us (the gals) jumped into the pool willingly cos we wldnt wanna be thrown...so i got wet again...oh ya...second SP interaction...
Day 4...
the many highlights for the day...still in sentosa...we began with beach games...we got sand & wet again as usual...expect waterbombs, seawater, paint & many other stuff...it's something like the station games but more tiring cos the weather was damn hot...and my OG broke record for losing in every single game...oh ya...we also had to cheer, learn cheers...luckily i still got my voice till now...hahaz...after the games...we had to prepare for the SP dinner at Underwater World where we finally get to meet who's the person we'd been talking to for the past 2 times...everyone got dressed up...pretty gals & shuai ge (yes...sci fac lehz...) everywhere...i met my SP (and i guessed it correctly...hahaz...)..he's a senior and a nice guy...so all the paired up couples (guy-gal or gal-gal...not enough guys...hahaz...) were supposed to enjoy the buffet dinner & scenery in underwater world...it's a wonderful experience though it's a bit crowded...hahaz...next highlight is going clubbing...my first time so i wld say it's not bad...probably becos we were all students...so 'nothing much' happened...i drank some alcohol & danced under disco light...very cool indeed...had supper with my OG at lao pa sat later before heading back to sch...
Day 5...
end of scamp...(did i mention the scamp tees are quite nice...hehez...) i hardly cld sleep in the LT...so basically wat i miss most from this camp is sleep...everyday practically sleeping at average 3am...hahaz...before break camp...there was prize presentation (my OG went home empty-handed but i shld say we're the most quiet OG...hahaz...) & photo-taking...i also had lunch with my OG at holland village (my 1st time there!!!) after break camp...it was a nice 5 day camp...knowing new frens & developing a sense of belonging to the fac...i had to admit i wasn't very enthu cos i'm shy lahz...hehez...but deep down...i did have fun...neva regret joining...:P so better go join foc!!
went for medical checkup ytd with my mum in nus...so long neva had a checkup...i think since sec sch? hehez...the normal height & weight...yikes...i'm not at my most slim state...but i grew taller...wahahaz...my eyesight was failing...haiz...too much tv & com...urine test/blood pressure normal...consultation & x-ray shld be okay...phew...i'm done with it...
my ex company contacted me a few days ago...wondering if i wanna temp for 2 weeks tis month...to earn extra cash...i accepted the offer but in the end...they changed their mind cos it's not worth for them to go thru agent to hire me for such a short period of time...so i got declined...i was super relieved (actually got second thoughts to reject liaoz...)...cos i thought my holiday wld be gone again...hahaz...so i'm super free again...yeah yeah...i think i better use this time to enjoy & prepare for sch bah....
going for another short 2 day camp tml...hope to sustain new formed friendships & make new ones! to do a part for my fac...cos it's my choice...hehez...see ya guys around...thanx for reading my long entry...:P
